Starship:
Collector

Welcome

News

As of November 6, 2011
Today I realized that I should make the game run on iPad where the controls could be greatly improved by using a dragging motion on the stars. However, I don't think I should tackle this until I get the iPhone version running on the retina display. To get the iPhone version running on the retina display I need to free up my schedule some. So in short it will probably be a while before I get around to it :-(
Check out Starship: Collector on the iTunes App Store.

Who

I, Eric Smith, am the only one working on the game. I don't have any plans for anyone else to do any work on the game itself either, just like with Puppy Love. I think I might try to get some people I know to do a little play testing later on, but nothing has been decided yet.

What

S.C. is a puzzle game that can be thought of as a sequel to Puppy Love, but with a different theme. I am still waiting until I am closer to finishing the game before I reveal the theme and real name for S.C. since S.C. is just a code name for the game, which is really just the working title's initials (Like P.L. would be the initials for Puppy Love).

Where

S.C. is being designed to be played on the iPhone OS 3 and would be available for purchases on the App Store.

When

Starship: Collector [v1.0.0] was released in the US on January 31st, 2011.
v1.0.1 was released on the March 13th, 2011.
v1.0.2 should be released on the May 30th, 2011.

Why

I am making the game because I want to, and I find at least some of the parts very enjoyable. I also wanted to make a simple game that I know I can finish to help learn how to work with the iPhone platform. I plan to charge for the game because I am putting a lot of my own time to create the game, the development costs (outside of time) are not free, and I feel the game is going to have enough features and polish that it will be worth a fee.
